I've been to this club a few times and I have mixed feelings about them. It's a large club and many members were very friendly and always safe. The facilities are decent but nothing real fancy here. The biggest issue I have is the few range officers I've met and other official club leaders were often either unfriendly and sometimes very rude. I haven't been a whole lot, just a few times so I wondered if it was just a bad experience but this week I met a guy at Walmart and as we talked about where we shoot I asked him about KRRC and he said, "I never really liked them. Let's just say they weren't very accommodating to children and could be kind of rude."
The cost has also become very expensive compared with prices in the past. It used to be about $60 a year + $100 or 10 hours of service. The price is now $200 for first year + the $100 or 10 hours. This means if you don't volunteer 10 hours you're looking at $300 for your first year. Subsequent years are $100 plus the $100/10 hours. Having said that the Gig Harbor Sportsman Club has less convient hours but their initial price is much cheaper. Although they can be almost as expensive if you shoot often but are much cheaper if you don't shoot often. I would join KRRC if they lowered their prices and were a little more friendly.
