Cross Keys is a very promising Rhône blend, the 2019 still a bit young but promising

On a recent camping trip to Calaveras Big Trees, we stopped at the Sierra Hills Market in Murphys to pick up some local wine. One of the wines was a 2016 Klassen Barbera from Amador County. Because I was unfamiliar with the brands in Calaveras, I chose not to gamble more than 10.99 for a bottle. Buying this wine was an absolute mistake and a waste of 10 bucks. The best way I can describe the wine was stewed prunes but the worst part was that the amount of volatile acidity was well over the tasting threshold. So overripe fruit and VA (the wine had that tangy, sweet, vinegary thing) make for a very bad wine. I am angry that a wine that bad should be sold at the grocery store in the first place. Why didn't you blend out the VA below taste detection? The thing that really bothers me, though, is that people who drink this wine will think that Amador Barbera is this bad. As the back of the label says, Amador is making a name for itself with Barbera. With this wine, you are giving Amador Barbera a bad name.
