I was a tenant with KLS/Shaw Properties for two years and had a very mixed experience. The tenant portal makes it very nice to pay rent and stores other information related to your lease. I lived in a 2-bedroom apartment and the price was incredibly affordable, and the bedrooms were very spacious. For the most part, Tiffany was very responsive as the property manager and maintenance requests were reasonably addressed.

However, I was incredibly misinformed about the noise levels in my apartment building. I was told that my apartment building was relatively quiet before committing to a lease, but the insulation between apartment units was the ABSOLUTE WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED (most likely due to the terrible quality in the hardwood floors and paper thing walls/ceilings). My upstairs neighbors, in particular, were a total nightmare. Without a white noise machine, I doubt that would have been able to sleep. The landlord could have done a better job enforcing house lease rules that my upstairs neighbors had clearly disobeyed, which included having double the amount of people living there at one time.

Overall, I would avoid renting with KLS/Shaw Properties if you value peace and quiet.
