I've taken pottery classes at another studio but chose to try Kokanee Clay Studio because of its closer proximity to my home. I'm so glad I did!
Their key fob system that allows you to come and go based on your class or membership is wonderful. I also really like the ability to buy clay and see how many hours you've spent via their app. The app makes it simple to buy clay when you need it and there is no need to find the right person who can access the clay. Everyone from the staff to the students I've met have been welcoming and supportive of each other. If you've never thrown and want to try out pottery, I can't recommend Kokanee enough.
So glad I found this studio on the Eastside. Been a member since March after having taken a beginner workshop earlier in the year. Everyone was so welcoming and made for a great introduction into the pottery world. My instructor was absolutely fantastic, extremely skilled and knowledgeable, with really strong teaching skills… really helped me catch on quickly to where I was absolutely hooked. And having a chance to learn alongside a great group of individuals and be part of that community was a wonderful experience.
Followed that up with a membership. Having 24/7 unlimited access to the studio is wonderful, the flexibility to be able to come and go at any time and work around my schedule is really appreciated. There’s a great group of fellow potters and ceramicists here, is always great getting to interact and learn from/with the community here… and the owners have been great, they are kind and always willing to be helpful and informative.
Really have enjoyed and appreciate my time here thus far, and look forward to continuing my pottery journey here!
