I would like to thank all the employees at the Kootenai Solid Waste site for their politeness and helpfulness. Every time I visit the site I'm greeted in a friendly manner when entering and exiting.

This is a great service. Idaho residents can use free. I have never dropped off appliances or yard waste so I don't know if there is an extra charge for this. They have multiple large recycling bins for free drop off. Don't worry about long lines. It runs smoothly. I've also dropped of construction waste with my husband. There is a card for businesses that you show when leaving and it's billed to your business. The staff are always friendly. Watch for signs the entrance can be tricky to find your first or second time there. They also have a very informative website if you have any questions about items you want to dispose of (oils, paint etc.)
