Went in to try the gym with the 3-day pass. We got an email with a QR code and nothing in the email stated any fees or conditions about using the free trial.
However, when we arrived we were told we had to wait for James Yan to talk to us about membership. He showed us the club and membership options and once we said we just wanted to try the gym and not sign up for the membership today he told us we had to pay a $20 day pass to use the club. It’s ridiculous to offer a three day trial and then charge people to even TRY the gym.
The email and website states FREE 3-day trial but the membership will scam you and deny your free trial. It was an incredibly negative experience and I would not recommend due to their dishonest sales tactics.
Reasonably priced gym for a workout on a budget and location. Jordan at the front desk is very intentional to greet you as you enter and I feel very appreciated. The disorganization of the space is a result of people’s lack of care for the gym as people do not return equipment to proper places - I’m not surprised that the staff decided it was not worth the effort to return equipment given people’s lack of disrespect for the facility. I did notice staff cleaned up the facility on Sundays at the beginning of the week returning equipment to proper places. Only a few minor critiques - I wish the gym was cooler - it’s very warm on hot days but sweat is expected. I also wish the locker rooms were a tad clearer but not surprised given the number of people who use it at a reasonably priced gym compared to a more expensive one - Pro Club down the road.
Recommend not going at peak hours - 5 pm and after to avoid large crowds
Update 4/15/2024 - the AC is working today which is a much needed relief! 4.2 stars! Thank you LA fitness staff! Now just remember to include wipes.
