At the end of my second straight day on the road, I was greeted by two of the nicest people at La Quinta in Redding - Jayson and Lucky. Despite being bombarded with customers on this busy Labor Day weekend, they made me feel very welcome. One of the best things about my experience was how quickly they had my key ready. That is something that people underestimate, but after hours of travel, the faster I can have my key in my hand, the better. Not only did they have my key ready quickly, but they did it twice. Jayson changed my room so I could see my U-Haul from my window without my needing to ask. That's excellent customer service if I've ever seen it!!

Rooms are good, safe and family friendly. Staffs are nice. Breakfast is great. Great price. Recommended for staying.
Precautions: check the room for cleaned carpet, water clogging in bathroom and sink, working condition of fridge and microwave.
My experience:The carpet is not cleaned properly so there were spots and black dirt. If you walk in the bedroom and wash your feet, you can see the black dirt going off.

We would usually stay here every year on our way to AZ. Each year it gets worse. This year it was downright awful. We have pets so we must stay in pet friendly. Hopefully first floor. The floor in our room wS so filthy. I would not take my socks off. There was NO soap, had to go to front desk and ask. She gave us one tiny bar to use for hands and shower. The tv outlet was attached to front door switch. So you could only watch if lights were on. The freezer in refrigerator was loaded w ice. Then in morning, I noticed the toilet was leaking on floor. If we were not so exhausted we would have left. We also have a cat and not many places except them. The only redeeming thing is there is an empty lot were my dogs can go potty. Soo we will NOT stay there ever again. We need to find another hotel on the way. Good By La Quinta
