My wife and I have been into La Rive several times and have never left disappointed. We have both seen Natia and she is the best. She has the best energy and always makes sure to listen to us, addresses all concerns and gives an incredible massage. We have switched from couples services to seperate services so we can both see her! La Rive is the best spa in the area and we have no plans of going somewhere else.

I rarely post reviews but I wish I knew what I knew before I went for the first time to La Rive Spa. First off, when we arrived to the Spa, we were not greeted friendly at all! Just an immediate " fill out the consent on the black table" No smile no explanation of how things went. Then after we did that, the girl just said, "go sit by the blue wall". The jacuzzi was connected to the pool which is used by the entire hotel so when we first went to check to see if it was open, there were kids screaming and playing in the pool so we opted not to go in. We went back later to check and it was empty so we went in. The jacuzzi was barely warm and the smell of chlorine was so bad in this enclosed room that I started getting nauseous and light headed. We only stayed about 5 minutes and that was 5 minutes too long. When it was time for our therapist to come get us, again no friendly smile or trying to get to know us or talk to us just very matter of fact which I'm not used to at a spa! Then in the middle of our massage, we had to evacuate the spa in nothing but our robes and told to grab our blanket from our table due to the fire alarm going off which was so crazy loud followed by a message repeating itself over and over. It was a rainy windy cold day and there was a group of us standing freezing outside. It only lasted about 5 minutes and we found out that a cook burnt something. I would have figured the first call should have been to the management team to let them know it was a false alarm so we didn't have to evacuate in the middle of our services. My heart was pounding and I was disoriented so it took awhile to settle back down to enjoy the rest of my hour massage which now was cut short. I was told that they would "I'm sure make it right" when we checked out. We took our showers which only 1 maybe 2 (cant remember) had curtains to cover you from everyone that was coming in and out of the bathroom which is where the showers were. If I didn't stink from the chlorine so badly, i would have just left with all the oil on me. When we went back to change, we asked the attendant for a bag for our wet bathing suits. Her response was let me see if I can find something but she was obviously bothered by us asking. She came back with a paper bag that was for purchased clothing or products but by this time I was grateful to get anything because I didn't want to put a wet bathing suit in my bag. Side note, most of the lockers were not working when you tried to open and close them. Several of us were having trouble and had to get the master key to get back into the lockers. Not sure if they all just needed new batteries or needed to get replaced but when an older lady asked the same attendant to help her, the attendant rolled her eyes, was extremely annoyed and frantic that she had to stop and help this older woman. After we got dressed, I saw something in the corner of the dressing room and went to see what it was and it ended up being a bathing suit dryer/spinner. She could have mentioned that to us when we told her we wanted a bag for our dripping wet bathing suits but that did not happen. We did try and use it but you basically had to sit on the thing to hold it shut to work. So we went to check out and got rung up with no discount for the interrupted massage. We had to ask for a discount which she did give us, but she didn't tell us how much of a discount we were going to get. This was a birthday present to me so I wasn't paying. After we paid, we looked at the receipt and only got a 15% discount for all of this! Plus when I asked the girl at the counter to help me figure out how to call for my car she said she had no clue. She tried to read the ticket to figure it out but couldn't. I would hope that if you work at the hotel in any fashion, you should know how to help your guests with the basics like getting your car called for. My massage therapist did do a good job with the massage, but honestly with all of the rest of the experience being what it was, we will definitely not be going back.

Have had a far better facial for $60. Had to listen to equipment being washed for next appointment and during a 60 minute appointment got 40 minutes of service at a $200 price point. Save your money and book an appointment elsewhere.
