Not kid friendly at all, my daughter needed labs done less than 2 weeks after open heart surgery and the people that did her draw where not considerate at all of her recent surgery and how to handle her. I tried being my daughters voice but they just ignored me

My child’s pediatrician ordered labs for my two year old son. I got a text from the lab instructing me to make an appointment because his pediatrician put in the order. I made an appointment for the lab work and came in. I waited before being called back to one of their check in booths. The woman told me she had no request for labs for my son despite the fact that his pediatrician ordered these labs and I made the appointment and already waited. She told me to go back to my son’s pediatrician to get the paperwork. I was already struggling with my son due to my son having sleep issues (why we were getting labs in the first place) and being out of control from lack of sleep. I also had not slept at all. She didn’t even say I’m sorry for the inconvenience or anything, just very abrupt. I went and waited to get the paperwork and came back down. I was upset due to my son running circles around me and being exhausted and sent around. In fact I was even in tears from the stress and I know she must have saw that. Instead of a shred of empathy, someone in the office in the laboratory services called and reported to my son’s pediatrician that I PUSHED MY SON INTO A DESK. I cannot believe this! I would never hurt my child. I am livid. Anyone with a shred of common sense or a heart would have seen that I was doing anything I could to occupy my son and get him to behave as he was sleep deprived and running away from me and refusing to cooperate. Not even games on my phone or fruit snacks was occupying him and IF ANYTHING he probably tripped into something which he does often when he is sleep deprived and running around. Then dealing with THEIR mistake of not having the referral. I’m humiliated that they said this to my child’s pediatrician. Unacceptable!

Had the worst experience with my 13 yr old son getting a MRI today. Desk staff was rude, waited 45 min after scheduled appointment time, then told while walking back that test would take 1.5hrs (never mentioned when I made the appointment). I am not allowed in room during imaging, but 20 minutes in they come out to tell me my son is really nervous and not being still. I could tell by the tech’s tone and conversation that she is already wanting us to be done today. My son tells me afterwards that they gave no explanation just told him to be still. No one was guiding him, no headphone with music or tech speaking through them to give guidance on what to do. Just earplugs and a bunch of stuff bundled around his head and put in the tube. She also told him before I came in, “we don’t have all day.” I know the combo of rushing him, no guidance or assistance, as well as no form of distraction resulted in an unsuccessful appointment. I now have to call the doctor to ask for sedation and reschedule. I will not be using this location again.
