Decent course. Beautiful area. It's just compacted into a small area and I couldn't imagine playing during camping season because of it. But was still fun and challenging.

Not a course for beginners, barely enjoyable for intermediate. Must be able to carry 150-250 feet or you will lose discs to water and or bushes/long grass. Many blind shots, very poor signage, almost every basket is positioned on a down or side slope (good missed putts can often roll away due to poor conditions) and course is very long. Lots of low ceilings, tight gaps and forced carries as well as treacherous sloped footing on many approach shots. Lots of weeds and minimal amount of short grass/fairways. Some very long walks in between holes and gets hot and muggy if over 80 degrees. On a couple of holes your drive will be landing on jagged shale and will likely bang up your disc. All of this can be viewed as "challenging" I suppose and a positive for advanced players. There is nothing wrong with a tough course, but there needs to be some amount of fun, creativity and accessibility thrown in as well. This was just brutal for no good reason. And it costs $14 for this wonderful experience! There are plenty of free or $5 disc golf courses in the greater Sacramento area that are challenging, well maintained and playable for all levels. I would much rather play Shady Oaks in Fair Oaks or Oak Grove in Stockton. This course was a waste of time, money and gas.

Excellent course, long and challenging. Mowed fairways on rolling hills studded with many oak trees. Low ceiling shots to many guarded pins. Great layout with fun shot shaping. Played alone and found my way around without much problem, however pin position maps at the tee boxes would be helpful. I had alot of fun playing here.
