We needed to have a low lying trex deck removed and wanted it removed fairly quickly. I called several debris (junk?) hauling and demolition service companies and received ridiculously high quotes and long wait times for something that seemed to me fairly straight forward.
I then called Lake City Hauling. The owner, Caleb, answered my call, asked a few pertinent questions, and requested I send a couple of photos along with the dimensions of the deck. By the end of that day, we had agreed on a reasonable cost, and a date and time--within a week--to complete the job.
Caleb and his crew were able to come one day earlier. They arrived on time and immediately commenced work in a fast, efficient and skilled manner, taking care not to damage anything. They paid attention to small details to ensure trees and plants which had been embedded in the deck were not harmed. The job was completed quickly, the clean-up was perfect (thank you, Ally!). Caleb then reevaluated the job, the time it took and amount of debris (a LOT!) to be hauled away, and decided the quote we had previously agreed upon, in writing, was higher than the labor, time and cost he and his crew had actually performed and accrued. Caleb reduced the cost to better reflect this.
I cannot praise Caleb and Lake City Hauling high enough. It is rare today to find someone with such an impeccable work ethic. His integrity is faultless. I am so appreciative of the work he and his crew did, which could not have been done any better, and the courtesy and respect they showed my husband and I.
