These are volunteer Firefighters who do lots for the local community by going through fire safety in an area that was plagued with fires in 2018. They are present in the community as Firefighters and friends and neighbors. Today was their fire safety day. They handed out and fitted 79 free bicycle helmets for children and adults. The kids also had the opportunity to see the inside an ambulance, turn on lights and honk fire truck horns, aim at targets with a fire hose. It's done first as a educating the community about safety and then as a way to get the kids used to the big, loud unusual fire trucks and ambulances. It was so cute to see the little kids taking oxygen readings! These are great people who give all to the community! Makes me feel safer knowing they are here!
