Beautiful experience at this lake no matter what part of the lake I go to! The bathrooms were clean and stocked and hand soap provided. The bathrooms were cement floors and beige brick walls and wooden beams with wire to keep it ventilated. There is a place were you cab rent paddle boards and you can fish, you can take your boat. There is a playground. Plenty of tables to eat. There is several beach areas to wade in and have the kids build sandcastles or just sun bathe. There's a beautiful dock for a better view of the water. There is a fee from 8- 5 but it's not much like $6 and if you go after 5... although I went at 4 and no one was there then it's free. You can also buy for the season. There's some wild life and a portion in the very back is for reservations for big parties.. it can cost a couple $100. On the weekends and holidays it is packed so I would suggest to come early to get a shady spot or bring a canopy and chairs for shade and seating. You'd want to brink your own beverages. But clean up after yourself because we don't want this beautiful lake trashed. When I just want to feel serene I come here. You should check it out!

This park is a nice place to go to. It's a nice big lake. It's Merced County's Lake. It does seem a little dirty and some people I know will not even swim in it. It would take just a little effort to clean the beach areas up. You can't walk barefooted on the grass cuz it's nothing but stickers. A lot of money is made off this park $6 per vehicle. Come on Merced County clean this park up. People really like it here..
