PREFACE: I’m currently vaccinated including buster & Follow all Mask Regulations when requested.
Upon entering the facility (Distance between Door and receptionist counter) I was verbally met with by a male receptionist who loudly shouted at me upon enter “MA’AM YOU CANT COME IN YOU DONT HAVE A MASK” arguably he was in fact correct, I wasn’t wearing a mask at the time of entering, however I wasn’t aware that the facility was implementing a mask requirement prior to my visit! In addition, I didn’t see any signs outside nor inside the building stating a Mask requirement prior to entering.
Unfortunately I didn’t have any available Masks in my vehicle to go grab (I was in a rental vehicle while my car was being serviced) and wasn’t offered a Mask by the Facility for both my Daughter and I to wear. Please consider that I wasn’t disputing wearing the mask at any point as I would have gladly worn one for my daughter to proceed with her visit.
The concern that I have with this interaction is the fact that the Male individual behind the counter Verbally approached the situation with a Very rude, dismissive and extremely condescending Attitude! This verbal interaction was also in the presence of other patients who can clearly hear this rude interaction between us which made me feel very uncomfortable and quite frankly extremely agitated! As with any professional setting, especially a Medical facility, there is and should always be the highest level of Respect, Professionalism, Dignity and Decorum exhibited from both representatives and clients alike and at no point should anyone be made to feel uncomfortable or shamed, let alone in the presence of other clients who are also there to receive service and or care! This type of unprofessional behavior speaks volumes and unfortunately degrades the good name of Dr. Siegel and has now instilled serious doubt in the level of care my child would have received. We are currently rescheduled due to the fact that I was unable to proceed with the appointment and I am now reconsidering having my child’s needs cared for at this facility!
