I had a scheduled appointment and showed up 2 minutes ahead of schedule. The receptionist didn't even say hi she said "It's 2 minutes before your appointment so I will need to check to see if Laura can even see you. I was really confused. I came in there in a great mood. I was meeting friends after my appointment and it was Friday." I said, I'm early, why wouldn't she be able to see me. She said I needed to be there 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork. I said well I wasn't told that. You should have told me to be here early. It's not my fault. She said she would be sure to let her know that. She gave me the paperwork anyway so I said well if I'm not going to be seen then I don't want to fill this stuff out. She said just get started on it in case she decides to see you. I should have left right then. That is so disrespectful. Her phone rang and I hear her say "yes she's here but she didn't have the paperwork filled out. And then she said "OK". She told me that Laura will be able to see me and I was told to go to the waiting room. 30 minutes later the nurse takes me to a room where I waited another 30 minutes for Laura. It only made me more upset that I was made to wait an hour past my appointment time. When Laura came in the room I told her that I was upset at the way I was treated at the front desk and then had to wait an hour after my scheduled appointment. She said, well you were late. No I was here before my appointment time. She said do you want to argue about the front desk or do you want to do this appointment? OMG, She was more disrespectful than the receptionist. She said I'm really good at what I do so it's up to you. She spends 15 minutes with me, and then walks me to the lady who does the scheduling but she was busy with someone else so I was told to wait out in the waiting room.. After waiting another 15 minutes out there I got up and left. At no time did anyone say they were sorry about the way I was treated. Even if I was in the wrong, I was visibly upset and they should have said something. Laura had absolutely NO respect or compassion for me and had a total disregard for my time. I certainly showed no respect to her. You have to give respect to get it. No one called me to ask where I went or if I wanted to schedule the blood draw and ultrasound. They couldn't care any less about me. All I can say is WOW. Don't go here. She isn't even a Doctor.
Had a similar experience to Travis. I had a PA that wanted to do a colonoscopy when the opposite end needed to be looked at. She also got an attitude when I asked questions. Anyone that responds with, "I'm the liver expert" and acts like patients are stupid for asking questions needs to take 5 steps back. She also signed a document saying the clinic was sending me to collections and I could no longer receive their care after they failed to bill my insurance. I had no problem finding someone with better education and bedside manner and a place where billing and services are kept separate.
