We used Laura for about 4 months to care for my son. We met with her before my son even started his first day. After 4 months she told my wife she could not longer watch him. She didn't even give us a two week notice. We demanded a letter telling us why. Two of the many excuses she used in the letter. (My son was 2 at the time,)
She was heartless in how she handled the whole situation. She told my wife on a Thursday, my wife was due with our third child that upcoming Monday. She never met with us once to address her concerns. We later did our own investigating and found out that she had violations from the State of California
(1. Not having the required fire drill every six months.) (2. She had TOO MANY CHILDREN in her care.)
She was required to give us a form and post it (She did neither). She was told by the State that she had to decrease the amount of children in her care, and instead of being honest about it, she hid it and got rid of my son and I'm sure others. I would not recommend her at all!!! Too many options in the city for you to be stuck with her. I would suggest you go online and check for yourself the violations that she had/has. On more side note from my experience with her... She doesn't like to take suggestions or be questioned. She becomes defensive and often times has all the answers.
