Dr. Cai is a kind, caring, straight shooting orthodontist.
She is surrounded by an amazing group of caregivers that are thorough, caring, and always do their best to make sure that the patient is taken care of, and comfortable.
Her front desk gals are wonderful. Specifically Terrie. She is kind, caring, thoughtful, and really took her time explaining the financial piece to me. The right gals are definitely at the front desk here!
Much love to Dr. Cai and the crew that helps make her the success that she is.🥰 wonderful folks, excellent care, superb results!
Rude Admin, Great Orthodontist and Assistants
Would have given 5 stars after the last year of appointments, until today…
As I’m currently sitting in the waiting room for my own child’s appointment, another mother and daughter arrived for their appointment. Upon checking in, the mother realized she accidentally mixed up the time for her own appt tomorrow, with her daughters appt today, causing them to have missed her daughters orthodontic appt today.
The mother told the front desk staff what occurred and apologized profusely. The front desk staff told her they’d check for any cancellations and asked the mother if she’d been receiving reminder emails and texts, to which the mother replied yes.
They were able to accommodate the girl and get her into a cancellation slot for the same day.
As the mother and daughter waited for the appointment, another admin assistant, Leslie, who had been informed of the situation approached the mother again asking if she received text and email reminders. The mother kindly replied again “yes”. To which Leslie, passive aggressively replied, “Just not reading them?”
To be frank, I was stunned. The mother didn’t reply after being shamed for her mistake again.
Moments later in an interaction with another patient, Leslie stated she was “patient but wouldn’t wait around all day”.
Aside from this, we love Dr. Cai and have had nothing but great experiences ourselves with the staff at the Mill Plain location. And while I understand the frustration of late patients or last minute cancellations, witnessing a parent be shamed by staff was extremely off putting. And I’m glad, for Leslie’s sake, she was speaking to that mother in this scenario and not speaking to me.
