Insurance company representatives acted like they were going to try and help me when in reality, they were asking me very well thought out scripted questions that they knew would reduce the size of my case because they were suggesting that things would get better in time without the "hassles" of therapy. I was later told that this was their way of being able to show that I was not hurt because of my not having gone to therapy soon after my accident, even though I suffered a lot by not going. I felt cheated! Mark Apelian paved the way for me to start getting the care I had missed for several months and he and his staff were wonderful to me. I never had any problems reaching Mr. Apelian or his secretary Brenda. one of them seemed to always be around. Mr. Apelian is pleasant and ego-less! what a refreshing thing it was to hire someone who did not act like he was doing me a favor.. He is also well respected in the legal community. The defense attorney for the the other driver at my deposition even told me that I was lucky to have him as my lawyer. He gets an A+ in my book.
What's with this attorney Steven Gambardella? I was given his name, and when I called him, he was abusive to me on the phone - like he wanted to fight me! So I looked up his cases on the court website and wowza... case after case, non-appearance, sanctioned for failure to submit discovery, motion to compel discovery, failure to respond to motions, incorrectly filed motions... He himself has been a party to nineteen cases! two that look to be street brawls... a couple where he failed to pay PI and document services and oh looky! it seems an attorney who once worked as his assistant sued him - I guess he didn't pay her? who knows. several legal malpractice cases against him, fraud even! yikes when a lawyer is that bad, you have to wonder exactly what is he doing on his cases to make money... anyway, thankful I missed out on a surefire nightmare experience.
