Avoid Stephen at all costs. My experience was absolutely terrible below are the issues I encountered.
-after our first court hearing Stephen tried to shoo me out of the court room. My initial thought was he was going to talk to the judge about the case since we showed up in person and my Ex did not. I was totally wrong, he proceeded to show the judge and the rest of the court room pictures of his daughter after basically getting the time I had with my daughter cut in half.
-Then the real problems began. His office became unresponsive, sometimes I would have to send 3-5 emails to get simple answers or replies.
-His office then proceeded to forget to file my paperwork and tried to rush me to get my end done since the court date was approaching. When I asked why it was over a month late, he said it was a clerical error and got lost in a stack of paperwork (its 2022 stephen, its mostly digital). I told him he would have to file an extension and that I would not be paying for his office to file it. Then then proceeded to send me a bill for the extension. I sent a total of seven email saying I would not be paying for their mistakes, with no response. I finally got a phone call from the person that Stephen said made the mistake that I wouldn't be charged.
-They uploaded someones case files to my file asking for signatures.
-He raised his prices twice in the one year that I was with him, when he should have been cutting them in half.
-Was late to a court hearing, so much so that the court asked me if I still had representation.
-I eventually dropped his services not because I couldn't afford them, but because I ended up with less time with my daughter then when I started.
Do yourself a favor and save your time, money and family and go with a different lawyer.
