Thank you for saving us from the racist!
So, my friend and I were waiting for a table outside of the restaurant. And someone behind us was talking to herself in an angry voice about “white people”. we didn't pay too much attention to her…until she tried to pour orange juice on my friend's back...😡and yelled at us...
The waiters quickly came out, brought us in the restaurant and away from her. They also offered us dessert and coffee on the house, to comfort us☺️
Thank you for turning this upset situation into a warm memory.
Le Pichet offers a great experience, but it falls short of a five-star rating. Here’s the breakdown:
Pros: The food is excellent if you're looking for a quick bite. The cold cuts and pâté were exceptional, including both chicken and pork pâté, beef tongue, Spanish sausage, and another memorable dish. The baguette was also outstanding.
Cons: A 20% gratuity is charged upfront, yet the service doesn’t match this added cost. The server only attends to your table when called and adopts a stereotypically brusque French manner, appearing rude and annoyed. Additionally, the wait time for the baguettes and some cold cuts was excessively long.
The baguette and the meat appetizer we got was great. Our server was nice. Everything else, not so much. We had a reservation and were seated right next to another couple very close together. The people next to us were visibly and audibly upset. For our meal we got the steak and duck confit. The steak tasted fine but the fries were undercooked and the ketchup they gave me was grainy/inedible. The entire outside of the duck confit was burnt and the inside was overcooked . Very disappointed especially for the price. There is also a 20% “service fee” that is automatically applied unless you asked for it to be removed and then they ask for a tip as-well.
Would not recommend.
