Please be very careful when renting from this company!
We stayed at their Temecula Wine Country Estate 1 property last year for Halloween weekend and it is a rather impressive property, with a huge front yard/backyard, incredible pool and great privacy for your family or group.
The reason we gave them 1 stars is they told us several times in writing that the pool heating cost would be around $100 to $200 total(for our 2 day stay) and they took an alarming ridiculous $2,000.00 deposit to heat the pool. We have several times in writing saying don’t worry you’ll get almost most of it back as the most the pool heating will cost is $200. They also made us pay $75 to have their employee turn on the pool for us so it would be heated for us before we arrived and it was not. The pool was freezing so we had to trouble shoot with their other employee how to turn it on and finally got it working by day 2. So we ONLY got to swim for one day on the second day as we only stayed two days total. So in the end they charged us $1500.00 to heat the pool for one day of swimming! We then asked them several times to please refund us the remaining $1,500.00 since the pool was not even heated for the first entire day and they said at most it should cost us around $200. The manager Kristine was rather unprofessional, rude and condescending said we should feel lucky we got to stay at such a nice house and be grateful. She then said if we promise not to leave a negative review they will refund us. Then Kristine just started to completely ignore us!
VRBO felt so bad they even refunded us the full VRBO charge and told us to never pay additional fees such as the pool heating costs outside of VRBO which Kristine made us pay via PayPal. We feel it is our duty to warn others about them and how they unethically scammed us for $1,500.00 and if we are being completely honest also the $75 charge to have their employee turn on the pool since it was never turned on.
We even had clients already to send out to stay at their property after our stay but we had to tell them the truth about what happened to us.
