“This location offers spectacular mountain and island views, along with a perfect spot to watch ferry crossings. During low tide, explore the beach to discover seals, crabs, starfish, and hermit crabs. A serene place to connect with Mother Nature."
Parking can be challenging during the weekends, pay parking as well
Beautiful lighthouse in Mukilteo, with views of the ferries coming and going to the islands. The lighthouse has a small visitor’s center with nautical displays and information - it is open periodically, not all the time. (I believe it is staffed by volunteers.) There is also a lighthouse keeper’s house as well as a gift store behind the lighthouse.
The beach is rocky and pretty windy, so you may want to bring a jacket. There several benches to sit and enjoy the sea air from, or walk along the beach (sturdy shoes recommended)… 🌊
Paid parking lot on site, with prices from $3/hour, payable by credit card.
For food/snack options, there’s Diamond Knot brewery that has a walk-up window you can get ice cream, drinks and burgers from… or you can walk over to Ivar’s on the corner and get fresh fish & chips, or mussels fresh off the boat. 🐟 🦪🍦
There’s a bathroom off the parking lot area, with separate restrooms for men/women.
There is also a boat launch area as well. 🛥️
Definitely recommend visiting this gem!
