We advocated for my son to start speech therapy at his two year old check up, he had little words and couldn’t communicate his basic needs. For the first year, we bounced around a few different speech therapists at Little Fin, our teachers were leaving to other fields of work but also we were bouncing around therapists that had availability rather than being assigned to just one. It felt like we were starting over on his progress with each change of teacher which became frustrating. (I don’t think this is uncommon for speech therapy/OT, it seemed to be fully booked out.)
Our luck changed when we got assigned to Ms. Andrea back in September and since then, my three and a half year old speaks in full sentences and is fully confident in his abilities to communicate with others. Andrea is patient, kind and truly cares for her kids. She always has feedback and asks us if we have any questions every session and I feel that she truly cares about my son’s progress. She always has a plan and a goal to meet weekly and even does a craft to take home for each Holiday!! We just graduated out and we were given lots of great spreadsheets to work on to keep improvement and the ability to reach back out if needed which I feel is above and beyond!
Front desk was kind, responsive and professional which I really appreciated and the entire environment is friendly and great! Having a child that is not meeting their markers can be scary and daunting but I felt supported throughout our time here with Andrea!!
