I'm so appreciative of Ada and Little Sunshine Daycare. We wouldn't have survived the pandemic without them. The most important thing to know is that Ada always treats the kids and us like family. Every interaction she has comes from a place of love and desire for the child to thrive. We started sending our daughter there at 3 months old (the youngest they've ever had) because we had no family/support near us during the pandemic. It was a really tough decision. We're so happy that we made that choice. Ada is always positive and supportive of her development. She sees and celebrates the best things about the child and finds encouraging ways to teach new behaviors.
We talked to other parents that sent their kids here before making our decision, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. We know of multiple families that have sent or plan to send their second child here. I would beg Ada for another spot here if we had a second child.
We've seen this all first-hand, and have also heard it from other parents at the daycare. We've never heard of her or any other staff yelling at the kids or using any physical punishment. The kids love her.
Our daughter learned so much from her time here, particularly great habits. Ada taught her to clean up, wash her hands, ask for things, sing, wear a mask, go to the potty. We are about to pull my daughter out to go to preschool and I feel so bad about it. It's time for her to move on, but it was a super hard decision. Ada is going to miss her so much but she's also been so supportive. She's been adding small things to the routine to prepare our daughter for preschool, and giving us tips and suggestions to make the transition easier.
The class is probably 80% Chinese-speaking (either Mandarin or Cantonese). In the time we've been there, there's always been a few kids not from a Chinese-speaking family. We think daycare has a mix of all three languages because she's come home with new words or songs in all three languages. For us, language was not the main reason for choosing Little Sunshine. We really wanted to find her a place where she'd be love, well cared for, and supported in a positive environment. We feel very good about that choice.
Working with Ada is an absolute joy. It was our daughter's first childcare experience, and she adores Ada and loved attending Little Sunshine Childcare. Ada treats our daughter with so much kindness and warmth. Frequently I would notice my daughter playing games and singing songs that she learned from Ada. Pick-up and drop-off were almost always all smiles and laughter. I'm so deeply appreciative to everyone at Little Sunshine for having left such a positive impression on our daughter. Thank you so much!
This review is for my 2nd child that also went to Little Sunshine Childcare. I would give it 10 stars if it allows me. From the bottom of my heart, Ada is the best childcare provider we could ever find, we are extremely grateful that we found her. She treated all the children at her daycare as they are her own. She is very responsible for every kid that attends her daycare and also her staff.
My son started to attend Little Sunshine when he was 4 months old, I know the fact that he will be loved and cared for by Ada, uncle, and auntie every single day I drop him off because my first kid also attends Little Sunshine. In the beginning, my son refused to drink milk from the bottle, and Ada takes her time to make sure he was well fed. And he also has egg and dairy allergies, as you can imagine how much effort is required to ensure he is nourished and thrived. With Ada's help, my son passes all of the doctor's examinations with no problem.
As always, Ada considered health as the number 1 priority for all children, especially during the pandemic, she implemented safety protocols with extra precaution ensuring the children will have the best and clean environment. You would rarely see a daycare that cleans their toys and play area all the time and even UV their toys every day. To be honest, I don't even do that at home, but Ada did it. And my son rarely gets sick throughout the time under Ada's care. My son goes home happy and excited to be dropped off every day.
We are so sad that my son needs to leave daycare and attend preschool. Getting ready for preschool can also be tough. Ada helped potty train my son and reminded him that he's a big boy that he needs to move on to another milestone. My son transitioned to preschool smoothly. It wouldn't be this great without Ada's preparation upfront.
Ada is not just a care provider, she is also a family member. If you are looking for a daycare, we sincerely recommend Little Sunshine, you will not be disappointed. We miss you, Ada!!!
