I've heard of people getting stomachaches for eating salads here, and raw chicken horror stories. Personally I once waited 20 minutes for a burger, and have yet to have a meal that I actually enjoyed. This place exemplifies eating for sustenance over eating for pleasure. Plus the prices are rather high, the panda express-esque place serves smaller portions for higher prices and a most meals cost 7.99 but are usually small quantity. My dislike for this place has led me to become a better cook.

Small portions and expensive. But there are lots of options, healthy meals, vegan/vegetarian options. However the lines and wait times are ridiculously long. Come with lots of patience and don't be in a hurry, avoid changing any menu items in anyway, most staff don't speak English here. If you're a prospective student, there are much better food options than this dining hall, do your research. If you don't have a dining plan with UW it makes no sense to eat here, you'll just pay too much.

Horrible food. HFS does not deserve a single cent for the quality of food they are serving. It's way too overpriced. They try and incorporate global cuisine but it ends up depressing and not good. Even with low effort dishes like salads, you get the occasional protein of dead / alive bugs!
