I've been dealing with some lower back pain and slight discomfort in my hamstring area. I initially thought it would go away on its own, but after a couple of months, it didn't seem to get any better. I was advised by some friends to get physical therapy, so I came here based on their recommendation.
From the first consultation, I saw that Gary is the real deal. His office shares the same building as a Crossfit gym, so there was plenty of space and tools to work with. He was very thorough in examining my posture and lifestyle to figure out the source of my pain. Then, he prescribed some exercises and stretches that have been incredibly helpful.
There are many things in life that require a professional analysis from someone who has done extensive study and practice. This is one of them. My months of online diagnoses and remedies haven't worked. Google told me I had proximal hamstring tendinopathy and then a herniated disc, but it was all just speculation. Gary helped accurately identify the issues, which allowed him to offer the proper exercises to alleviate the pain. I would have never stumbled upon these exercises on my own!
I could tell he cares about long-term healing and restoration rather than quick, temporary relief. After just a few weeks of seeing him, my months-long pain has been waning. It's not going to be immediate and easy, but it's effective!
Highly recommend working with Dr Gary at the LPI Fullerton location. I appreciate the personalized approach to care which is ironically rare to find these days in healthcare. He combines holistic methods to care (no icing or massage machines) and makes sure his recommendations for at-home exercises fits the patient's capabilities and lifestyle.
I have trained as a powerlifter for almost a decade with minor injuries here and there that I never took seriously. I've had nagging discomfort in my back and hip that I trained through for years. Upon seeing an Instagram ad for an introductory special at LPI, I figured it was time to invest in my health. That being said, sessions are an investment but you truly get what you pay for: attentive and curated care.
The introductory call was a green flag since Dr Gary wanted to know more about my history and needs to ensure that he could help me. When I had my first visit, not a minute was wasted as we worked through finding my problem areas and addressing them. Since my first session was incredibly focused, I committed to the package of 4 more sessions. When providing exercises to use, he puts my training into consideration which I really appreciate. He even suggested spacing out the last session in my package to when I was deeper in my training which made me feel like it's less about getting more sessions out of me but rather to help me when I need it.
I'm happy to say that I haven't felt the nagging issues return while improving my overall training. I have tools to help me continue training for years as well as Dr Gary a call away if need be!
Dr. Gary has been a game changer for my achilles tendinitis. I was experiencing tightness and pain in my achilles after playing basketball for the first time in a long time. I thought it might have been temporary, but the pain persisted and so I reached out to Dr. Gary.
During our first meeting, Dr. Gary diagnosed the problem and quickly started to recommend rehab exercises. I was amazed at the insight that he gave. He pointed out problem areas in the mechanics that led to this injury, and worked to holistically fix them so that the mechanics of my movements would lead to healing, better athletic performance, and a reduced risk of injury in the future. I felt the pain and discomfort diminish after just our first meeting! As I have continued to meet with him and keep up with the rehab movements, I have been able to recover quickly, even being able to play basketball regularly again.
Dr. Gary is friendly, insightful, and really puts in the extra work to make sure that your rehab regimen is leading to results, so that you can be at your best again. I cannot recommend his office enough. If you're in pain, its a no-brainer, visit Dr. Gary!
