Saw a huge California king Snake 10 feet from my tent. The snake may of been 5 feet long. I started looking around to see hundreds of snake pits everywhere. All around the whole camp ground. Let’s just say I didn’t sleep to well that night. I probably won’t tent camp here again.

Very rude concessionaire. No sign on door and said she would do nothing next 2 days as they were her days off. Signs offering supplies but said there was nothing there. Great hikes and campsites though.

The campground is well kept. Restrooms are clean and there is water available as well. There were many campsites available (Friday in Nov) so we had our pick. The campground fee was $26 (or $45 for a deluxe site with metal pavilion). The only downside was the bugs are prone to swarm you in the middle of the day - bring bug spray, citronella candles, etc.
