Charming, distinctive, smart, and a little hard to find. I just helped host an ArtPoint party at Lost Art Salon, and it was one of the best events to date.
The description of the salon as "Paris 1920s meets industrial urban loft" is spot on. The main room feels like a living room, and an intensely personal space. The artwork is hung salon-style, and framed pieces are stacked against the walls, works on canvas board are browse-able in bins, and shelves are packed with small paintings, sculptures, and ceramic vessels.
During the evening Rob and Gaetan got up and spoke to the philosophy behind their collection and about a few selected artists.
It was a clear warmish night, so we had access to the rooftop and its panoramic city views. I signed up for their mailing list and cannot wait to return.
