The worst customer service in the 18 years I've been driving!
I'm not sure if they were having a bad day or what, but I had a horrible experience with the shop here in Quartzsite! Yes I said horrible!
I have been experiencing an air leak that causes the transmission to not shift. The on call service manager at the company I work for told me Love's shops were a certified international service location.
I went in at this Quartzsite location. The two girls at the service desk jumped down my throat as though I cussed at them for telling them what I was experiencing with the air leak.
They told me that they could only diagnose it. My response, "That's what I want."
They said it would be an hour, finally after 2.5hrs (I do know that a lot of times it can take longer than expected in places like this especially since the truckin the shop had three things they were working on, according the the girl that stayed at the counter. ), I go to check on the status, the girl with the biggest attitude, looked at me like she never saw me before.
Many of you long term drivers know where I'm going with this.
The mechanic didn't know, I knew he was talking like I was stupid. I was nice about and instead of talking stupid back, I let him know that in my eighteen years of driving, I had seen many types of air leaks.
In my 18+ years experience, I never had one mechanic just stand by the truck and swear there was no air leak because he couldn't hear one.
Even after he saw that the primary wasn't filling up like it should should, his response was, "Hmm, that's strange. "
Those of us who used to be able to tell the mechanic to do his job when they tried to get out of it, may not realize, those days are over.
I'm not even sure if this will even make a difference. Because he made it clear through unwillingness to get under the truck like he should have, I decided that I didn't want him to work on my truck for fear he might sabotage it in some way if I tried to push the issue.
I'm convinced with his attitude, the attitude of the two girls at the desk, one of two things would have happened,
If I was still a fairly new driver, I may not have ever seen a mechanic have to pull out a spray bottle with soapy water to help find an air leak!
I know that many of you old timers would have barked at the kid and told him to do his job, but today, people are getting their head blown off for much less than that.
I'm letting it be known, that you have to be liked at the Quartzsite location in order to get good service.
If they don't like you, you will be treated like I was, Very unprofessionally and they won't accurately diagnose your problem, which is what I went in there for.
Be safe out there drivers andwatch yourassets!!!
