My favorite outdoor place. We travel here yearly for a friend’s camping trip in September and each time I’m just blown away at the beauty of this place! What a gem!

Well it's gorgeous, of course. A tiny little walk to get down to the water. I was there in September, on a Monday, so all the kids were back in school and there weren't too many people there. I imagine in the summer it's jammed with Seattlites Portlandiers.

Spectacular! There is a short hike to get down to the river past the falls lookout. It has a steep drop down but is worth it to wade in the water. Make sure to pay for parking or camping before you go. Reservations are required.
