Marine is godsend. My wedding dress was very difficult to alter. The chest area was too big, and it was tricky with the lace, the detailing, and the sheer panels. I also had a massive train. Luxury Alterations was the 3rd place I went for a consultation. The 1st place's prices were really high and they had a completely different vision of what to do. They wanted to add more fabric in the back to make it easier to "tighten", and they were going to do a 2-point bustle, which would create a long tail of fabric from my butt. The 2nd place said, "Oh... this is a really hard dress. Very difficult... Ummm... Yea, it's not easy. Very very hard... I guess we can figure it out together and it'll be a process." That made me lose confidence real quick.
I almost lost all hope, then I went to Marine. How lucky was I to have found her and her husband! During my consultation meeting, they started pinning me right away. They said we didn't need to cover the beautiful keyhole back, and extra fabric was a bad idea. They showed that they knew what to do, and I had full confidence in them. They are EXPERTS.
I was also nervous about my long train and considered cutting it off. Marine reminded me about the beautiful details and I'm SO glad she was there to knock some sense into me. My train really is so gorgeous! Marine was also the only tailor to figure out how to bustle my massive train (with 9 points) to make it look seamless. I'm so impressed by her work. I really appreciate the level of attention that Marine gave to my dress.
