I discovered this place by accident, and I am so happy that I did. It is on Pico Blvd. , across from the Virginia Park on 23rd. St. in Santa Monica. The street parking was limited and difficult on busy Pico Blvd. But the next time I am going to use the Virginia Avenue Park's parking area to walk across to Ma'am's International Foods which should take no more than a minute. The owner, Ma'am, is very helpful and extremely polite. I learned that she also offers cooking classes on Thai Cuisine at her location for 4 to 6 persons. She carries very good quality Asian food items and the prices are more than half of what similar places charge. As soon as this virus infections are under control, I am going to sign up for her classes. She is just a great addition to Santa Monica.

After deciding we were going to try cooking Thai food from a great cookbook we got, we randomly found Ma'am's to pick up some of the key ingredients we needed. Holy cow! What an amazing place!!! We found everything we thought we needed at incredible prices. And then we met the owner. Wow! She shared with us all of the ingredients that we didn't know we needed, including fresh Thai Basil and Lime Leaves, and she was so incredibly kind and helpful and explained so many things for us that, had we not met her and left to our own devices, we would have completely gone down the wrong direction. We absolutely love this place and will be back over and over and over again!!!

The best Thai food & service I’ve ever had. Stumbled across Ma’am’s today and feel like I truly found a hidden gem… I was deciding on my order until Ma’am (the owner) offered to cook me something off the menu - all she asked was how spicy would I like it to be and that was it. 5 minutes later she brought me a healthy serving of flavour-packed vegetables and meat, on a bed of handmade ramen noodles. Please go here, you will not be disappointed!
