We brought our puppy for his first haircut. We were very specific that we only wanted a very tiny trim and we did not want his ears touched at all. He came back with his fur so short we barely recognized him. They did not listen to us at all.

This place is hit and miss. The problem is that unlike most places where you can explain to the groomer ahead of time how you want your dog’s hair cut, at Mabel’s the person who checks in the dogs is not the person who grooms them, and she does a poor job of relaying to the groomer how you just explained the way you want your dog’s hair cut. So last time they asked me to text them previous pics of my dog with her hair short. Not sure why the groomer herself won’t come out to hear the directions in person. It would be like telling the receptionist at my salon to relay to my stylist how I like my hair cut. Makes no sense. But they are always very nice which is a plus.
