Looking for a new place to have lunch this past weekend, it was my turn to pick the restaurant. After scouring many reviews, I decided that we should try Made in Italy Bistro. I had read about their popularity, so I arrived early just after they opened to beat the crowd. I was welcomed warmly by the staff, offered a table and soon after presented with garlic focaccia and sparkling water to start.
After my friend arrived, we reviewed the appealing menu and placed our orders. Our pasta dishes arrived quickly, and they were not just delicious, but beautifully presented. The sauce was so savory, and the pasta was so fresh! Within half an hour, the place was packed with a few waiting outside, braving the rain. Heaters were set up for those who wanted to eat on the patio. Even though the staff were very busy, they treated us as if we were the only ones in the room. Our server, Ray, was such a pleasure! She was knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. I will soon be returning.
Finally tried this place as we were looking for something new and we were left wondering what took us so long. The atmosphere, despite the strip mall parking lot outdoor seating to compliment the quaint indoor seating was fun and energetic. I attribute this to the amazing service as everyone that works in the restaurant is friendly and energetic.
As for the food, we ordered the Prosciutto Plate with Burrata and house bread. I usually pass on bread but was convinced by my server to try their house made gluten free recipe and was truly impressed. Along with the best burrata that I have had made this an amazing starter but way more food than we needed (could have stopped there). We also ordered the Salsiccia E Funghi pizza and the cavatelli pasta (both gluten free). Both were very good but my partner would like to try the gluten variety the next time we come back. We had plenty of leftovers so will be smarter about ordering next time.
Overall, great service, great food, and great lively atmosphere made this a new favorite for us.
