From Facial Acupuncture, I got holes and scars other than bruises on my face. I did not get any advise or care guideline before or after the treatment. I did not realize the Acupuncture needles could damage face like nails. Front desk and Anna are friendly, but friendliness cannot compensate the bad results left on skin. Anna replied my text saying they are bruises and could fade in a few days. However, I can feel that they are uneven not like bruises. They are obviously holes and scars. My second text asking how I can make the holes disappear and I have not had replies yet. Before the treatment, I did not usually need make up because my skin was smooth with little holes or scars. I went to the place because I was looking for facelift.
Be aware, Facial Acupuncture is not for everyone, especially NOT for people with delicate skin!
The picture shows one side of my face after sixth days of treatment.
Six months ago, I couldn’t stand for more than five minutes because of how bad my sciatica had gotten. My friend Javier (from Body Rest Massage next door) recommended Anna to me, and within a month, I can now stand, walk, dance, and even wear heels indefinitely without any pain. Nothing else worked (all the meds Kaiser threw at me, all the stretches, etc), but Anna has done magic! I still go in every several weeks for a maintenance session, but I’m back to my old self, and that’s been life changing!
Professional wise, she is also excellent… very reassuring, letting you know exactly what is happening, and showing empathy anytime a needle causes a jolt (they don’t hurt, but you may feel a nerve jolt… it’s nothing that would keep me from continuing, but she always expresses empathy anytime I react). This, combined with the massage therapy I get from next door, are two of the biggest expressions of self care I give myself. Treat yourself and do the same!
