Popped in here to grab the Tuesday special. Seemed like a fairly average eatery, nothing extraordinary, but wasn't bad. Clean and well-staffed, decent location. Wouldn't take a date here unless we were going for a themed outing, but it was fine. Ice cream too! I'd come here again.
16 Aug 2022 - 4 Stars Had another great meal here today, with my 89-year old father. This is one of his favorite burger locations/restaurants - I like it as well. The onion rings are great. The burgers are always juicy and flavorful. The staff are always friendly and cleaning the tables and floor. Will return.
Been there twice--first time I ordered a chicken sandwich and an onion ring. Chicken sandwich was built off a real cheap, frozen patty that tasted like something they'd serve at an elementary school. Onion rings were soggy and greasy, as if the deep fryer was set to the wrong temperature.
Decided to give Major's another chance, and that I'd stick with the classics. Went to what I believe is their flagship store off Washington. Ordered a Major's cheeseburger and the special deep-fried onion ring. Cheeseburger was markedly better than the chicken burger I tried on the first go, but the small patty was dwarfed by the giant bun. While the bun was OK, the necessary effect of this was that each bite was mostly bun. Not ideal but a decent burger.
Fried zucchinis were greasy, soggy and tasted and reeked of fish. Clearly they fried the zucchinis in the same (week's old oil?) they've been using to fry their seafood baskets in. When I pointed this out to the clerk and noted that they were inedible, and tasted like rancid fish, he denied that any such thing could have happened and walked off.
