We rented a house through maple leaf with Lee Nichols as our property manager. We really appreciated all her help during this time. This is a thankless job; nobody ever appreciates a property manager. That is why I wanted to write this. She works really hard trying to please both sides. Even though she worked for the owners, she was very fair in her dealings with us. She always responded quickly and addressed the issues we had without any delays. She was very professional and a caring person and was sympathetic to our situation. She tried really hard to reason with the owners who left us in a damaged house with burst pipes for over 4 months, and we weren’t able to use part of the house. She fixed the plumbing right away, so we had running water, but couple of rooms were unusable as a result of walls, ceiling and floors being ripped out. She was always fair and didn’t take sides. She repeatedly asked the owners to fix the place, which they ignored. Without her in the middle, I don’t think we would have lasted in this house as long as we did. Everything else that was in her control, she fixed right away, like when that heater stopped working, we had people here the next day fixing it. So thank you Lee for everything you do.
Apartments are great, staff and landlord are fantastic and quick to respond, neighbors and feeling of community is unmatched. The ground's keeper, cleaning ladies, and landscaper's keep the complex looking incredible.
The parking lot could use some work, and the 7009 building needs blockers for the ventilation holes in the roof. Other than that this place is perfect. I'm close to my three year anniversary living here and I've loved every moment of it. Definitely a gem amongst the Seattle renters market.
Maple Leaf Property Management failed to meet our expectations in several regards. Upon moving into our unit, we encountered significant cleanliness issues, including bio-hazardous waste in the closet, cabinets covered in unidentified substances, and uncleaned carpets. When we reached out to Maple Leaf we received no word back . Addressing these concerns necessitated a substantial investment time and effort on our part. Furthermore, the pre-existing washer leak added to our initial challenge.
Towards the end of our lease, we encountered conflicting messages regarding the potential for renewal, attributed to the sale of the condominiums. Unfortunately, the lack of communication persisted until our move-out date, leaving us with unresolved questions regarding the move-out requirements. These requirements stipulated that we were responsible for hiring professional cleaners and carpet cleaners to restore to its original condition upon our departure. However, we were troubled to find that none of these tasks had not been completed prior to our move-in day. We took the initiative to thoroughly clean the unit ourselves, including using our own carpet cleaner. Despite our efforts, it was only after multiple unanswered emails that they responded, agreeing the waive the cleaning requirements. Regrettably, attempts to engage with Ryan Elizalde via email, phone, and in-person regarding these issues were met with avoidance, which we find disappointing and unprofessional.
