MAPLE MAN - Japanese Maple Pruning

We had 5 maple trees which were at decision points and we just did not know how to shape them. The Maple Man spent several hours working with us to prune and shape was our maples and helped us with some screening shrubs in our yard. He worked patiently with us to give us just what we were looking for in each part of our yard. And he allowed us to stick with him while he also taught us about tree health and aesthetics along the way. Thank you very much!

We bought an old (50+) "rescued" Japanese Laceleaf Maple from a local tree farm last fall. I went out to prune and really inspect it for the first time since it was planted and quickly got lost on where to start. I found Shyam online and he was able to come out just a couple days later. It was magical! He is so kind and so knowledgeable. He allowed me to prune alongside him and talked to me about what he was doing and why. He also took a look at the other, younger trees we purchased at the same time and made some suggestions about which limbs to keep even though they would likely be temporary, and made some large, structural pruning cuts on those as well. I would definitely hire Shyam again.

Shyam did a wonderful job on my 20+ foot upright maple. Before he worked on it, it looked like a big leafy ball. His skilled eye and hands brought out so much texture and depth…just as I had hoped! This is my favorite tree so I had high expectations. I’ll definitely trust the Maple Man for my future pruning needs. 🍁
