Watch Out for Marbella Lane Vacation Rental!!! This org is completely dishonest and unscrupulous. We are a family who has completed 30+ vacation rentals and have always left places well.
We booked a Marbella Lane Vacation Rental on through Airbnb in Half Moon Bay. The place was average with a ton of things slightly broken or just showing its age. ie broken toaster, broken patio blinds, game table on its last leg. We weren’t there for long so just made the best of it.
When we left Marbella tried to ask us to write a review which we didn’t bc the place was pretty meh. After the 14day period passed, we got a notice that one of the blind slates was broken and the charge for the fix was $170. We didn’t touch the blinds except open them. The broken piece was there on the sill already. The place had so many instances of broken items that they can try to peg on their guests - the idea that the selected this one thing is almost comical.
If you happen to find yourself at a Marbella property, document and photograph everything. This outfit it not to be trusted!
The house is as pictured and well kept, overall. Upon entering, the place smelled of sewage. On the 1st night, one guest took a bath on the primary bath. Once draining the tub, the tub leaked and the shower filled with filthy water. The next morning, water was seeping through the floors in the living m, dining, entry and hall. I immediately reported the situation. I was told not to use the primary bath and they sent someone to “assess”. No work was done. The next day, they sent someone else. No noticeable work was done and the problem got increasingly worse. On the 4th day, someone came out and began cutting out Sheetrock. Problem persisted. We couldn’t use the living area or the primary bath for the entire duration of the stay. I requested a discount for the experience and was offered an insultingly low amount. In addition, they give each BEDROOM 1 bath towel and 1 washcloth. So unless you want to bathe with a dirty washcloth, you must do laundry daily. Communication was difficult. Too many auto-responses.
