I found Joanna early in my 3rd trimester when it became clear that my midwife at a big box hospital was not able to check many boxes that were becoming more and more urgently needed. I was panicked at the thought of delivering at the hospital for many reasons, but also for the complaints I had about my health that were being disregarded.
Joanna as I came to find is truly a skilled, caring practitioner who is devoted to both patients and ongoing education. She has very impressive medical credentials and continues to teach and learn herself. As far as bedside manner I can honestly say I have never been more impressed with the level of compassion and understanding from a medical professional. Joanna was so thorough reviewing my medical history she discovered a few things that had been missed by my primary care but were very much needing addressed. She believed my level of pain and low energy was extreme when other medical professionals disregarded as just the woes of pregnancy. I got iron infusions that were desperately needed right in time for delivery.
She is a skilled listener and took me seriously. I will miss our appointments chatting over a warm cup of tea. She had my complete trust from the start. Her energy is tender compassionate and understanding, she is a beautiful human and I am so, so very grateful our paths crossed and she was our midwife who took such great care of me, our family and our baby boy.
