I started taking guitar lessons with Mary about 3 months ago and it is one of the best decisions I've made. I've been playing piano for many years but am a guitar novice. Mary was able to meet me where I am and focus on building a solid technical foundation while also building on my existing musical knowledge.
If you have a true passion for music I would highly recommend this teacher. You will get as much out of these lessons as the effort you are willing to put in, perhaps more.

I started weekly lesson with Mary back in February. It has been the highlight of my week since. Besides her technical ability, her passion for music truly shines. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, she always gives very helpful advice and vivid examples. More importantly, she teaches “music” in addition to the instrument. I have learned so much from her already in a few short months. It is very fulfilling to learn and finally understand music. Her studio is very conveniently located with easy parking. Wonderful experience all around. I wish I had Mary as my teacher when I was a kid.

Mary is a terrific guitar teacher and I am glad I found her. I am restarting classical guitar lessons after several years and she was exactly what I was looking for in a teacher. She is extremely knowledgeable about music in general and often shares interesting information with me related to music. Mary is very patient and articulates instruction well. She is also helpful in explaining why different guitar playing techniques are important. I look forward to many more lessons with her!
