Updating my review because Coco is AMAZING and she alones elevates this location to 5 stars. Coco provides the absolute best deep tissue massage that I’ve ever had. In addition to her craft, she’s also so sweet and attentive to my needs. I’m usually a bit uncomfortable during massages because laying face down but with a large bust is awful. Coco makes sure I have the special pillow that helps. I am so grateful that I found her!
Old review: I visited this location for the first time yesterday and I was really disappointed in my experience. I requested a deep tissue massage and even after asking for more pressure during the massage, I only received medium to firm pressure. As someone who knows what my body needs, this was frustrating and I found it hard to relax and even enjoy the massage. I’m sitting here the next day and I still have pain in my neck, shoulders and low back, which shouldn’t be the case the day after a massage.
In addition to the disappointing massage, the person who checked me out didn’t even ask how my massage was. My checkout experience was somewhat awkward since they needed my card information and didn’t clearly communicate that. I didn’t understand why they needed to take my card and I couldn’t just use Apple Pay on the device that was right there. She just said they “took that away from me” whatever that meant.
I usually go to one of three other Massage Envy locations based on availability and I’ve never had a bad experience. I also used to be a member in another state years ago. It’s disappointing that this location didn’t measure up to the same standards. I’ll give them two stars since my massage therapist was at least friendly and I think she actually tried. She just shouldn’t be listed as being able to offer deep tissue massage in their system.
Sophia was the therapist and it was the worst massage ever. Spent 15 minutes at the beginning just pressing all over the back side and down my legs. Asked to press harder when she started the massage but that was ignored. I felt like she was petting an animal as it was too light.
Then she rubbed my face twice with 2 different oils and applied something to my lips. Totally ignored the areas I wanted her to focus on. 😢
