The best thing about this place was it's atmosphere. I hear the drinks are good bur we didn't have any.
I had the Grilled Carne Asada*. The main the things that were good about this plate was the steak and the corn. The rice and beans were not that good. The rice barely had an flavor and the sauce that gave it tomatoe flavor seemed like it came out of a can like a tomatoes paste. Most mexican rice is fried first then flavored with tomatoe bullion. Was disappointed of flavorless the rice was. The beans were the opposite. The flavor was way strong. You can taste the bay leaves. Beans tasted like they came out of a can because of heavy the flavor was. Didn't eat them.
My wife had cheese enchiladas and they were decent. Again rice and beans where not good. The guacamole that came with plate was mushy with very little taste. Needed salt and maybe pinch of cumin.
Romain salad was okay. The pumpkin seeds and pico was a nice touch. I appreciate them doing something different. But the vinegarette was very light. Either the taste or the amount was lacking.
Overall, near place to see but food I'd go somewhere else where it's more authentic.
