After many unreturned phone calls Matt came out to perform and estimate and had his crew out that afternoon. Professional from start to finish and cleanup was unbelievable.
Highly recommended this outfit for any type of tree service...trimming to removal.

a few years ago, on recommendation from our neighbors, we hired an arborist to come over to prune and clean our three large palm tree's, and fix a terrible hack job inflicted on our street Ash Tree's by a large, commercial company working for PGE to clear limbs for the power lines. Andrew was a lovely man, and sweet at heart, but did a lackluster job all the way around, and was difficult to get to complete the work promised. Two years later I bid out the job again to 5 companies highly recommended by friends, or Berkeley Parents Network, or both. Matthew Bowman's bid was the second cheapest, (never take the cheapest bid), he was prompt, and very understanding and eager. We hired him, he arrived the morning scheduled right on time with a large crew, and they worked feverishly all day. it was arduous work, hard on the workers, and the equipment, but they never complained. They did a beautiful job on the palms, first rate, and the Ash tree, half buried under ivy and other vines and not healthy for years, looks splendid, and has been thriving ever since. e're sure the property value went up 10% that day. Further, Matt had people from the Oakland Zoo come out to fetch the palm fronds, which were happily munched by elephant and rhinoceros that evening. I have recommended Complete Tree Care to many of my neighbors and friends since, who always report the same satisfaction.

Matt and his crew came to remove and trim trees from our yard. During the process we flagged some concerns that his crew had dragged heavy branches through our rose bushes, broke a sprinkler pipe, and left some branches lying around. After the work was complete, he returned without notice or permission to our property to pick a fight with us regarding our concerns. He did not come with the intention to rectify any issues and make things right but to defend himself and lecture us about how we were wrong. He said he didn't break our sprinkler pipe and it was broken already (we tested it before he arrived and it was functioning). He refused to admit his mistake although WE are the owners of this home and know our home better than he does. He said the rose bushes were fine. He said everything was clean. He essentially went one by one and gaslighted all our concerns, belittling and dismissing our complaints. Even if his actual work was okay, the fact that he returned uninvited to our property with the sole intention of undermining the issues we brought up made this entire experience very sour for us. We hope we never see this man again.
