We have an old house on a hill, which has a lot of underground streams. Over the years the soil under our foundation has destabilized, causing one side of the house to sink.

We talked to a lot of foundation contractors, but it was Matvey that really impressed us. Their attention to detail, and proper approaches (including engineering reports, load calculations etc) was fantastic and reassuring. They worked with the city to push through permitting, and kept us well updated on that process.

The solution we needed was metal support piles under the foundation on one side of the house. Marco and Eduardo, the install team, were amazing. Really knowledgeable, friendly and great workers. They did an awesome job of installing the foundation supports, and left the area they were working in cleaner than before they came.

Matvey were not the cheapest quote we got - but we felt that their approach was the best, and most thought out. I’d also argue your house foundation isn’t an area to cheap out on :)

Stellar service and repair to our retaining wall. From Richard, who did the site visit and bid, to their fantastic crew Sam, Ivan, and Serghie, their communication and quality of work was sensational.

We obtained three bids for the job and Groundworks was the best. I usually don't go with the lowest bid, but my research aligned with what Richard recommended.

The finished job exceeded my expectations. Our wall was able to be put into alignment with the rest of the wall, and the cracks at either end repaired and fortified.
