There are not enough 5-star reviews explicitly commenting on how great Melissa is! I'm sure as long as the rent is paid, she is the nicest woman I have encountered as a renter. I had an issue with the billing company charging me after I moved out, and she took care of it immediately.
Sure there are minor things I would change about where I lived, but if I moved back to the area, and when I called, Melissa picked up the phone... I would, without question, move back in.
1 star because I can’t give 0. During my 6 month lease at The Sovereign there was an issue with rent and I had a chargeback to my account. I notified the office and they insisted I paid and that there was no issue. Three weeks later they told me there was a chargeback, added several late fees and insisted I pay. They also did not disclose that the building had lead until four months into our lease when they discovered one of the tenants was immunocompromised and was due to get brain surgery. McCormick also has it in their lease that they do not return your full deposit no matter how clean you make the apartment, it’s in the lease and was confirmed by staff. Also they will charge $2200 to replace under a 1,000 sq ft of carpet and still charge $500 to clean carpet they apparently replaced. I will update this post after the issue is resolved with the Tacoma DOH.
Bonus photos: One photo is of the dryer they fixed after six months and three times calling about it. The other photo is the mud in front of the building were grass used to be because they didn’t rake the leaves from fall until the beginning of February.
