Food is okay at best. The fish and chips are almost gross because a lack of flavor. Has a bar environment not a restaurant.

I've been a 30 + year patron of Mec's. I just had the most disappointing food I've ever had there. ALL of the food was VERY bland. Not even salt and pepper, and no salt and pepper on the tables. And the server was less than focused. She was more concerned with chatting with her server friend than serving their customers. Bad Portland Dip, Over cooked tots, they changed their classic skin on fries (they looked more like micky D's fries now), flavorless coleslaw, overcooked fish, of fish and chips, all this for only $40. I would suggest almost anywhere else. Hell, I would have preferred wingstop!!!!

Went in for a weekday lunch, only one other table when we sat down. Food came out quickly but then our server was MIA to tell her that the fish and chips was so greasy and tough it was inedible. She came over to cash us out and still charged for uneaten food with nothing offered but a ‘hope it’s better next time’. There won’t be a next time for us
