I had a bad experience with my employment through Medix last year. I was hired to work for their client Atlas Genomics who had false promises—the manager told me that I could communicate requests if I needed flexibility on my schedule. I thought I could count on his words, so one day, I asked if I could adjust my work days for school. Later on the same day, I got a call from the agency instead, saying that I was terminated due to my punctuality and/or taking time off. I explained to the representative that I could have not asked for it if I was not told that I could do so. The representative, however, neither cared much nor started proper investigation to be fair with their employees, making it clear to me that the agency only prioritizes the interests of clients.
Another reason why I give 1 star is that the agency offered 40 hours per week on the job description but the client usually gave only less than that. I felt no transparency.
