Signed up to get a week pass, show up and got denied. 2 front desk people are just chatting away no help or information given. Mind you, fit couple looking for a new clean gym and did not get any help right when we walked in. Not expecting free pass or anything but my pass does say walk into my closest ymca to get a picture and enjoy. Really upsets me the lady was very STAND off ish and wanted no new members to join. YMCA did have my eye for a new gym but not anymore.

I am a disabled person trying to mitigate pain and a disability by useing the hot tub at the Puallup YMCA but in the last 2 months thier hot tub has had one problem after another. I drive 20mi plus have to endure the pain of getting up and driving to the Y only to find the pool closed. I've asked if the staff could post an alert on the web page to warn users of the condition but in 2024 with all the communication and applications at our fingertips this is out of the staffs capabilities...13 pool closures over a 2 month period is a gross lack of responsibility on the Y s part not to mention 300+ miles of wasted gas for nothing! I've spoken to workers at 2 other locations and they have given me several possible reasons this might be happening of which I will look into.

Warning- Do not use for summer camp!! They make the kids use Porta potties outside instead of the bathrooms in the camp building, the conditions are filthy. But that’s not the worst part. My child got badly injured one day and they did not notify us or even take care of her injuries!! I only found out when I was giving her a bath and saw several bloody gashes in her back. She said she fell off of a play structure and they just told her to go sit on a bench. Are you kidding me?!! She said she was crying and they didn’t do anything, she was obviously hurt! I should have been called immediately and I would have picked her up. They have young teenagers running the kids and that is unacceptable! Everything about it I just can’t believe they get away with! They need to put some safety protocols in place and have some standards!! We will never be back and you should avoid bringing your child for summer camp at all costs. Plus they keep increasing the price every year. I am just beside myself.
