Not only was her photography beautiful and capable of capturing the emotions of each moment and landscape, but she was also wonderful to work with. Melissa took time to get to know us, scouted our location that she found and suggested to us based on our interests, and took amazing photos all while we were focused on the experience of the day.

Melissa went above and beyond in every aspect. We are glad we went with Melissa because what she added to our wedding day is invaluable.

I can’t speak highly enough about Melissa and her photography! Melissa was an absolute pleasure to work with! She’s sweet and fun loving which made the entire process easy and feel like a dream. My husband and I are very unnatural and awkward in posed pictures and Melissa made us feel comfortable and really captured our personalities. I was initially drawn to Melissa’s photography because of her documentary and candid style. I love the emotion that she captures in the photos and the story that they tell. She captured so many great moments from the day that are my favorite to look back on, and some even make me want to cry! I never thought that I would be obsessed with my wedding pictures but I am! All thanks to Melissa (and her second shooter Jess). I highly recommend Melissa for your special day. If you want to work with the sweetest, easy going, whimsical, and gracious photographer she’s your gal!

Melissa was the most phenomenal photographer. Honestly, if you are reading this you must be considering her - and let us save you some time, GO BOOK HER you will be so glad you did. She gave us STELLAR wedding photos - they are incredibly stunning and lovely. As she is a documentary photographer, she perfectly captured the emotions of each moment and caught so many wonderfully candid photos. We MUCH prefer to now have these types of real feeling photos rather than overly staged photos - our favorite photos are moments she captured where we are laughing or looking at each other during speeches. That said, she took really beautiful portraits of us as well, she has an incredible eye and picked the most beautiful scenery for the backgrounds. We are drawn to the candids, but trust us SHE CAN DO IT ALL.

We also did an engagement session with Melissa the year before our wedding. We’ve never had professional photos taken before and wanted a practice run before the big day. The photos were equally beautiful (even without the hair, makeup, etc we had on wedding day!) and she coached us through how to have our pictures taken and helped us still feel natural. We are so glad we opted to book that with her!

Not only were the photos absolutely breathtaking, but she was such a joy to work with as a human. Melissa is incredibly kind, gracious, and thoughtful. She is exactly the type of person we needed (and wanted) as someone who was closely with us for the entirety of our wedding day. She knew exactly how to make us (and our families!) feel comfortable and relaxed during our portrait sessions, which led to really natural looking photos.

We feel SO lucky that we found Melissa and got to work with her for our wedding. Please choose her - you will be so, so thrilled.
